ECHO stands for Education Career and Housing Opportunities. ECHO is a grass roots non-profit designed to assist people in need, through Education asistance, Career enhancements, Housing programs and Opportunity growth. We aim to improve the economic standing of families in our communities. ECHO's motto is "Let Success Make The Noise!"
ECHO has provided assistance to programs that make a difference to at risk women and children that are homeless. ECHO works with local organizations within the community to support homeless families with everyday challenges. We endeavor to improve the standard of living for people while trying to maintain a family structure. ECHO assists by empowering adults and children with the necessary tools needed to recover from crisis situations with dignity and honor. The goal of
ECHO is to return every family to a healthy environment.
ECHO discovered that GED participants are not provided with multiple opportunities to retake a failed GED test. Our organization works with teachers and local schools to assist at-risk high school students with the potential to pass the GED testing process. ECHO supports these students by funding second and third opportunities to pass the GED test and successfully graduate from high school. Our organization has identified that students are discouraged from retaking GED tests due to the unaffordable financial costs involved. The inability to finance and retake a GED has led to many potential graduate students dropping out of the high school system and giving up altogether. The ECHO program grants testing opportunities to at-risk students to facilitate their successful graduation.
